State Champs: Second-Day Turnaround Propels Patriots to Golf Title – The Pilot Newspaper: Sports

The Pinecrest boys’ golf team claimed a state championship Tuesday at Pinehurst No. 4.

Led by medalist Eric Bae, the Patriots recorded a two-day total of 586 to defeat runner-up Broughton by six strokes.

Bae, a junior, carded a 70-70—140 to claim the individual state championship and was the only golfer at the tournament to post two sub-par rounds.
