The lights were on but nobody was home the last time we checked in on the Nautilus South Beach,Sixty Hotels’ refurbishment of the iconic Morris Lapidus property in Miami.
But now it’s time to start planning a sweltering summer break in Miami, because reservations are now open for July 6.
It’s not really changed since first reports: 250 rooms including 51 suites for the 8-story “luxury beach house”. The first pictures of these (or rather the “model rooms”) are on the website (although there are no photos to stick up here), and we’re loving the bright and breezy, classic but contemporary feel. Special mention to the (marble?) tiled floors and studded wingback chair, but what is that thing that’s looks like it’s been taped off for safety?
