Downtown Miami sure likes its hybrid bars/restaurant/lounges lately. The newest one on the roaster is Rubi Lounge, which opened over the weekend at 141 SW 7th Street.

As one might guess, the 4,000-square-foot Rubi — which apparently can hold up to 10,000 people — features plenty of red decor along with floor-to-celing windows that over look Downtown Miami.

If you’re looking to eat, it features a menu prepared by Executive Chef Jose Manuel Paz. His dishes include items like “Funchi Fries,” described as, “a Caribbean-style polenta deep fried, topped with parmesan cheese, roasted garlic aoli and sun-dried tomatoes,” along with plates like shredded pork taquitos, ceviche, and “Cubano” sliders.

Rubi is open from 5 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday through Sunday and until 1 a.m. the additional nights.
