BEVERLY HILLS – Marshawn Lynch talks and Tom Brady doesn’t in two early-season episodes of FXX’s “The League.”

The fantasy football comedy, whose final 13 episodes start airing Sept. 9, has already filmed an episode about Deflategate, co-creator Jeff Schaffer told TV writers here.

The football-deflation controversy, which has enveloped New England Patriots quarterback Brady, seems like to remain current when the new NFL season begins, and Schaffer said that made it prime fodder for the show.

“We really tried to get Brady to be on the show,” he said. “But it didn’t work out.”

A number of real-life players have made appearances over the years, however, and Seattle Seahawks running back Lynch will return early this season for his second.
