SOUTH FORSYTH — Two rising seniors at a local high school were selected to attend the pioneer class of an elite summer leadership institute through 21st Century Leaders.Pinecrest Academy students Estefania Herrera-Paredes and Gergory Varghese were among 75 students across the state who in June attended Turner Voices Youth Media Institute, a weeklong media-focused leadership development program at Georgia Tech.

According to a news release, the program was funded by Turner Broadcasting and is a “wonderful example of a diverse group of our future leaders pursuing their leadership development with executives [from Turner], and local company’s commitment to our youth.”
