FORT MYERS – President of Baseball Operations Michael Hill earlier this year said the Marlins didn’t see the real Brian Flynn last September. Promoted to the majors for the first time after a stellar Triple-A season, Flynn in four starts (18 innings) logged an 8.50 ERA with 27 hits, 13 walks and 15 strikeouts.
