It’s official: Brooks Laich and Julianne Hough are engaged – The Washington Post

Early Tuesday, Julianne Hough shared the news that she and Washington Capitals center Brooks Laich are engaged. No real word on who took this photo, however. The caption reads:

“We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement! #fiance #love”

For his part, Laich sent the exact same social media update so this was obviously well-coordinated. The two have been dating for some time so this isn’t entirely unexpected, of course, but it’s exciting news nonetheless. Hough is an actress and two-time former “Dancing With The Stars” champion.
