The Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Center is now The Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience, The name change came after board members felt that “experience” best explains how they want people to enjoy the arts in Mississippi. The announcement was made at the groundbreaking ceremony Saturday, in which hundreds attended.
“This is a great step forward,” MAEE Board President Tommy Dulaney said. “It’s something that we’ve been looking forward to for quite a while. We’ll be going out for some bid packages probably within the next few weeks and you’ll see some construction beginning hopefully within the next four to six weeks.”
