The University of Miami is testing out specially-designed headgear that will help doctors determine if an athlete has suffered a concussion.
“This is the first time it’s being used in athletes,” said Dr. Mikhaylo Szczupak, “and it’s being done for the first time at the University of Miami.”

The goggles, converted into a portable assessment system, may soon help determine if an athlete is able to play after suffering a head injury. “The goal, at the end of the day, is to be able to diagnose and clear players for concussions,” said Szczupak
