Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach, the iconic Miami resort slated to open this summer following a $280 million renovation, is pleased to announce Nils Stolzlechner as its new general manager. An industry professional with more than 20 years of international hospitality experience, Stolzlechner brings his luxury property expertise to South Beach and Shelborne Wyndham Grand. Hailing from Kitzbuehel, Austria, Stolzlechner has extensive experience at luxury properties in the U.S. and abroad. Most recently, Stolzlechner served the Omni Hotel brand in general manager roles for the Omni Dallas Hotel, the Omni Corpus Christi and the Omni Hotel San Francisco. Previously, Stolzlechner held executive positions at various properties in California, including the Highlands Inn Park Hyatt in Carmel, the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco, the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara and the Omni Hotel in Los Angeles. From 1992 to 2000, he served as general manager and executive chef of Hotel Pilatus in Lucerne, Switzerland. Stolzlechner holds a Swiss Hoteliers Degree from the SHV Swiss Hotel Association Culinary School in Lucerne, Switzerland, and is fluent in both German and English. The multi-talented hotel professional is also a world champion ski jumper who has competed with the U.S. Ski Team.
