Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. plans to invest $250 million in a 15,000-acre plantation in the Philippines.
The Coral Gables, Fla.-based company has not made a formal announcement regarding the new plantation, but the governor of Palawan, Philippines, told media about the plans July 14 during a briefing about an upcoming economic development event.
