The group gathered Sunday at a rest stop in Hallandale Beach during a bike ride journey that will take them more than 1,000 miles away to Washington, D.C. The event is aimed at raising funds for two community centers, one in South Florida and another in the nation’s capital, that will provide programs and services for those in need, including the elderly, mentally disabled and inner city youth.
