LAKE WORTH — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist visited Florida’s largest gay and lesbian community center on Thursday to restate his promise to sign an executive order banning discrimination against gays by state agencies and contractors who do business with the state.The former Republican governor also called the Florida GOP “astoundingly stupid” for having “five white guys” from the legislature criticize his pledge to bypass lawmakers and issue executive orders on anti-gay discrimination and four other topics on his first day in office.
