Charity luncheon honors Latinas for community involvement – Sun Sentinel

Twelve Latinas will be honored for their contributions to the community during the “Hispanic Women of Distinction Charity Luncheon.”
The event will take place Aug. 14 at Signature Grand, 6900 W. State Road 84, Davie.

The Latina Pioneer for 2015 award also will be given.

The event will begin with a cocktail hour where each guest will receive a complimentary beverage. It will also feature Latin entertainment and a business exhibit. Fashion design students from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and television fashion superstars will put on a runway fashion show.
