There’s grit and static to the Cannibal Ramblers’ particular brand of swamp-stomp blues. There’s a humid sweat to songs such as ‘South Miami’ and ‘Last Night I Drank Too Much,’ bred by whiskey-wild vocals and sizzling guitars. This is madcap, drunken music, and frankly, it’s fantastic. Cannibal Ramblers perform with the Farmers Union Players and Boo City at 9 p.m. Aug. 23 at Beatnik’s, 433 Park Ave., Worcester. (Victor D. Infante)
