Dwyane Wade Talks About Miami In The Past Tense, People Flip Out

During ABC’s pre-game broadcast for Game 6 of the NBA Finals, Dwyane Wade talked in passing about a time when he “was” with the Miami Heat. Except, of course, Wade is still a member of the Miami Heat. Wade’s future with the organization has been a bit clouded thanks to ongoing contract negotiations. A recent report from Miami Herald reporter Barry Jackson says “a friend has described Wade as upset with the Heat’s position and that he wants to feel like a priority.”

There was also discussion earlier this month that Wade would opt out of his current deal in July, upset that he might not get the max after taking a pay cut to bring LeBron James and Chris Bosh aboard.
