Boston College coach Steve Addazio told me at the Atlantic Coast Conference Kickoff in July he was expecting big things this year from Pine Forest graduate Harold Landry.

Landry had made a strong impression as a true freshman in 2014 by playing in all 13 games with the Eagles and making 11 tackles from a defensive end position.

Well, Addazio’s projections about Landry appear to be coming true based on his performance in Boston College’s 14-0 loss against nationally ranked Florida State last Friday.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pounder produced career highs in tackles (11), tackles for loss (3.5) and contributed 1.5 quarterback sacks against the Seminoles. Landry is now leading the Eagles in tackles (16), tackles for loss (8) and sacks (3) through the first three games this season, even though he’s started just two of those three contests.
